Our quality management includes all processes like designing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality controls and delivery as well as our service.
As an experienced supplier to the toy industry and trade, we meet this special responsibility, because we manufacture our individual plush toys and mascots exclusively from high-quality and harmless plush materials and in accordance with the latest toy norms. No matter if it´s the US toy safety standards according to the ASTM F963 or the EU toy safety standards according to EN71 or any other required toy safety regulation – we will manufacture our toys according to the applicable safety standards of the specific country. Quality must not be a coincidence, which is why quality assurance is of central importance. The quality must not deviate, regardless of where it is produced. Made-in-Germany products are subject to the same quality requirements as those from other countries of origin.
Since we our stuffed animals not only in the Far East but also in the EU as well as in Germany manufacture, take into account we also in this regard, that all quality requirements are met at all times. In doing so we rely on our not just on our in-house quality management, our quality is regularly also assessed independent testing laboratories in accordance with applicable EU directives on toy safety tested. Here we work exclusively with renowned and successful laboratories and testing institutes such as DEKRA, TÜV and SGS together.
Our partners at the testing laboratories do not merely test for compliance with legal requirements regarding quality and conformity. We have quality standards that go far beyond those mandated by the EU, and as a result, we not only meet the legally prescribed limits and guidelines but significantly exceed them. As a toy manufacturer, we are legally required to comply with the toy safety standards in accordance with EN 71 et seq., REACH, AZO, and CE. These legal requirements were established to ensure a uniformly high level of toy safety throughout the EU. This means that, as part of our quality assurance process, our plush toys are not only tested for prohibited chemical substances, but their flammability, mechanical properties, and proper labeling for consumers are also verified. This means that many of our plush mascots are first set on fire, torn apart, and thrown into chemical solutions—as part of our quality assurance process, they have to endure quite a lot.
Our additional quality tests also take into account the level of craftsmanship and the quality of the workmanship. Our plush toys are lovingly handcrafted, and as is always the case with genuine handcrafted items, there are slight variations from one plush toy to the next. To ensure these variations remain within acceptable limits, we have created a special Plüschwelt Quality Catalog that specifically addresses this aspect of workmanship. A wide variety of manufacturing processes are monitored internally. For example, all parts of a plush toy are first cut to identical sizes using programmed laser cutting tables before being passed on to the seamstresses and seamsmen. During production, work is divided according to the parts of each plush toy—one group sews only heads, another only bodies, and so on—which allows us to achieve the most consistent level of workmanship possible while maintaining uniform dimensions and thread lengths. These are just two examples from our extensive catalog of quality assurance measures, which, by the way, don’t stop at the plush mascots but also include the packaging. At plüschwelt, we also inspect shipping boxes—and, where applicable, gift boxes—for quality and material integrity, because nothing is more frustrating than when high-quality plush toys are damaged or lost due to a defective shipping box.
A responsible selection of high-quality materials and careful processing by trained staff are largely responsible for the high quality of our cuddly toys.

In the retail sector, certification is essential. We therefore also offer our industrial customers the option of having their custom plush toys tested and individually certified in accordance with applicable toy safety standards. Depending on your requirements, we can, of course, also arrange for testing and certification according to other standards. Whether it’s according to the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, organic certification, REACH/SVHC, or the applicable EN 71 regulations for toys—we’d be happy to have your custom plush mascot tested and certified for product safety. All plushtoyplanet plush mascots are produced in accordance with the requirements of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and ILO (International Labor Organization) manufactured. This means, that our plush toys are manufactured in accordance with statutory regulations for compliance with working hours, and fair pay, of vacation days as well as the prohibition of child labor and forced labor are produced and our suppliers also within the framework of the UN specialized agency ILO the social and – and labor rights in the production process. Similar to the organizations of the BSCI and ILO the early 2000s also saw the ICTI Care Foundation established , to introduce and sustainable standards in the global toy industry .
